Types of Care Offered At Seasons Retirement Communities in Ontario

When it comes to senior care, everyone has their particular needs. That’s why understanding senior living options at retirement communities will help you determine what your loved one may currently need and what to consider as their needs may change over time. Seasons Retirement Communities offer a range of quality care options to meet residents’ varying needs.

(IL) Independent Living – The apartments at Seasons Retirement Communities offer independent living. They are designed for seniors who can live independently but who wish to be in a community designed for seniors, with access to social or recreational programming. In Ontario, some communities offer single-storey townhouses.  Our apartments and townhouses are equipped with an emergency call system but no regular care services are provided.

(ISL) Independent Supportive Living – Independent supportive living suits an independent, active senior who does not need assistance with the activities of daily living, but who benefits from a supportive, congregate living environment. Residents in ISL receive assistance with scheduled care and typically enjoy services such as 24-hour emergency response, 2-3 meals daily, weekly housekeeping, and medication administration.

(AL) Assisted Living – The assisted living program at Seasons provides supportive care to residents who need assistance with daily tasks, but who do not require the skilled care provided at a long-term care residence. Residents receive the same services as ISL, plus any additional care services that assist with the activities of daily living.

Memory Care – The memory care program at Seasons is specifically designed to care for seniors living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease in a dedicated, secure area within some of our residences. Memory care community residents receive specialized, AL care services. The Seasons Embrace Today® memory care philosophy requires a deep understanding of who our residents are, so staff may adjust their interactions and respond with whatever is needed in the moment. Each of our trained service team members commits to approach the workday with a promise to do his or her best to make all interactions positive and meaningful, one moment at a time. We believe that when we have positive, authentic relationships among all care partners it elevates person-centred care and makes it more meaningful.
