Retirement Communities Celebrate Royal Wedding with Michael and Anna Olson
OAKVILLE, ON, May 14, 2018 – Seasons Retirement Communities hosts its second live baking demonstration with chef couple Michael and Anna Olson at Seasons Strathroy.
In the spirit of the royal wedding, the Food Network’s Anna Olson will share her expertise decorating cupcakes with floral frostings and how to properly steep tea, in front of an audience at Seasons Strathroy and through Facebook live to include off-site viewers.
“I wanted to feature cupcake decorating tips for the Facebook live demo because it’s such an interactive and social activity, says Anna Olson. “I plan to have residents assist me with decorating so that everyone watching can see the delicious results and feel confident they can replicate them. There might be as much laughing as piping, but isn’t that the point?”
Hundreds of residents will gather at Seasons Retirement Communities in Ontario and Alberta to watch the demonstration on the Facebook live stream. On Friday, each retirement community is serving the cupcakes as shown in Anna’s demonstration.
“Seasons remains committed to offering residents distinctive experiences,” says LeighAnne Voll, COO, Seasons Retirement Communities. “Our partnership with Michael and Anna Olson provides opportunities to engage our residents in new ways while teaching them new skills.”
On a monthly basis, all Seasons Retirement Communities continue to bake a delicious Anna Olson dessert. Twice annually, Michael is providing seasonal menus for our Dining Services Managers to serve.
