Dec 1 Update From our COO: Seasons Camrose
Hello everyone,
I would like to begin by updating you on the situation at Seasons Camrose. It is with much sadness that I share one of our COVID-19 positive residents passed away yesterday. Our thoughts are with the family, and our dedicated team members who cared for this resident, during this very difficult time. We continue to have one positive staff case. We have eight positive resident cases. Testing for all SL4 residents is underway, with first round prevalence testing complete and second, and third rounds happening this week.
We continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services; we speak with them daily and follow all directives and recommendations they set forth. We have been updating staff, residents and families with daily Memos, to ensure transparency. I want to thank the Seasons Camrose team for their dedication to the safety and well-being of their residents, and fellow team members, during this challenging time.
Today, all but two Seasons Retirement Communities are in a provincially mandated or recommended Alert or High Alert status*. We remain committed to following all directives from local public health, our sector regulators and provincial Chief Medical Officer Directives. We continue to practice strict infection prevention and control measures as the health and safety of our staff and residents remains our greatest priority.
For all of us, staff, residents and families alike, this holiday season will look very different than in years past. While you may be apart from your Seasons loved one this year, please rest assured that they are not alone. For weeks now, Seasons team members have been planning ways to mark the holidays in our communities, so our residents may enjoy Christmas, safely. We look forward to sharing photos of our preparations and celebrations on our social media channels throughout this month.
Today marks the start of our Holiday Food Drive; December 1 -14. Local food banks need our assistance more than ever. If you are able to donate non-perishable goods this year, we will happily accept them.
Whether you live or work with us, thank you all for the trust you have placed in Seasons Retirement Communities. We take this responsibility very seriously.
Sincerely,
LeighAnne Voll
Chief Operating Officer,
