April 17 Update from our COO: Seasons High River
As you know, we have been health screening all residents, team members and essential visitors, daily. These measures appear to be working as intended, as it was through our health screening tool that were able to identify at-risk team members and advise them to self-isolate at home.
I want to let you know that we were informed that we have four team members who have tested positive for COVID-19. These team members have had close contact with someone in their household who works at the Cargill meat processing plant. Three of these team members have not been at our home for over a week and one team member has not been present in the past 6 days, all due to our health screening protocol.
(Update: April 18)Â Late Friday evening, April 17, Dr. Hu, the Calgary Zone Medical Officer, was deemed that Seasons High River would be placed in Outbreak status.
I want to thank our residents who have been cooperative and patient with our heightened precautionary protocols. I also want to thank you to all Seasons High River team members for being diligent with our universal precautions and monitoring their own health. Let us all remain vigilant in our efforts to keep one another safe.
We will continue to be open and transparent on this situation and will update you when we have any further news to share. The health and safety of our residents and team members is Seasons’ greatest priority.
Sincerely,
LeighAnne Voll,
Chief Operating Officer
